Whether you’re a full-time resident or a snowbird living in Sebastian, Melbourne, or Vero Beach–or if you’re entertaining friends who’ve never fished in salt water, My Bonnie Charters out of Sebastian is probably the most family-friendly fishing charter boat you’ll find on the Indian River.
My Bonnie’s Skipper
My Bonnie’s skipper, Capt Sal Tardella (who’s a snowbird from CT himself,) knows which species to target and where to find them. My Bonnie sails from Sebastian starting in late November and finishing up his FL charters in late April. Visitors from Melbourne and Vero Beach often travel to Sebastian for its unique location–so close to the Atlantic Ocean.
For many decades Sebastian–a charming “old Florida” city with a reputation that appeals to sports fishermen, especially those who want an experience that’s different from what they’re used to in other areas of the USA or Canada. The Intracoastal Waterway is filled with man-made islands that hold the baitfish that attract pompano, redfish, sea trout, bluefish, and jack crevelles –as well as fish whose names are unfamiliar to anglers that reel them in for the first time. Larger fish can be caught in the “flats,” an area wherein the lagoon and the Sebastian Inlet intersect.
The beautiful Indian River Lagoon is a haven for friendly dolphin and the occasional manatee, as well. No trip aboard My Bonnie Charters is without its special charm.
My Bonnie Charters is located about half an hour south of Melbourne –and just fifteen minutes north of Vero Beach–via U.S. 1 or I-95.
