And on Thursday we had another double header.
In the morning we left the dock at
5:30am with Wayne Heyland and his friend, Don O’Brien, both Greenwich residents.  We immediately hit bluefish off the Islands, and then went bass hunting.  The tally was seven stripers from 6-16 pounds as well as some large porgies.  The scup and the keeper striper were divided between the two fishermen for their evening’s dinner.

At 4pm we had aboard Robert Remin of White Plains and his son, Daniel–who works at the ESPN Sports Channel. It was a very productive four hours, with the Remins bringing in many striped bass, with the largest coming in at 16 pounds, and porgies ranging between 12″ and 14″.  All of the bass were released, but you can see Daniel’s fish-his first keeper striper–in our Photo Gallery Photo of the Week.  Eight porgies, however, were taken home for their dinner table.
